Hey I’m Jon from S6 Photography. Over the past decade I have shot 500+ weddings all around the world. I’m based in Sheffield but have been a global wedding photography since my very first wedding. I have seen and learnt a lot over the past decade and in my workshops I pass on the knowledge I have learnt. My wedding work has been featured many times in the National press and has gone viral a few times. I’ve chatted on the BBC Breakfast sofa about weddings to several million people and have won Junebug’s best of the best wedding photos for the image you just clicked on. If you like what I do and want to learn more then jump on a workshop date that suits you.
This 8 hour workshop starts at 10am and finishes at 6pm on Sunday 7th April 2019. The day is split into 2 parts, with part 1 taking place at my home where I will talk about how I started and got this far in my business, the experiences I have learnt on how to do things right, how to successfully run a wedding photography business, how to find the right couples for you and ultimately love what you do. We’ll talk workflow, gear, settings, how to approach all parts of the day and throughout you’ll be encourage to ask as many things as you need. In part 2 of the day we will head out into the Peak District with a real couple dressed up and looking sharp. I will talk about finding light, location and then what the hell to do when you’re in the right light and location (Naturally I cannot promise amazing light on the day! But I will do my best to find it). We’ll talk ‘posing’ and exactly how to go about that in a natural way and then once we’ve got a bunch of awesome images in the bag, we’ll head back to S6 HQ for an editing session on the images shot.
You will be welcome to use the images you shot on the live shoot.
The 4 hour live shoot workshop is perfect for those who just want to get out there and live shoot with me without the classroom based knowledge. We will start at 2pm and finish at 6pm. The day will start at S6 HQ and from there we will head straight to some of my favourite locations for portrait shooting with a real couple in wedding gear. I will be transporting the group between locations. We’ll have a total of around 1hr of car travel during the session as we will use multiple locations, so around 3hours of live shooting. I’ll be teaching about the gear I’m using, what I’m looking for in location, what I’m looking for in light, and how I conduct a portrait session on a wedding day. You’ll be encouraged to learn and shoot yourself. You will be welcome to use the images you shot on the day. The image you just clicked is from the last S6 Photography live shoot workshop.
